西昌也要举办石榴节。这几年西昌石榴青皮、红皮、黄皮、白皮等优良品种，质量不亚于会理。在规模上，已形成南北两大片区，总面积超过30000亩，西昌石榴具有外观好、果形大、籽粒粗、色泽红、皮薄核小且软，含糖量高出其它地方石榴2-3℅，味甜，不少片区已获省绿色证书。果熟挂树期长达2月，每年前来观赏、参观学习的人群络绎不绝，开始成为一道景观，为每年一度举办石榴节奠定了基础。作为石榴协会的成员之一，要为石榴产业的发展作出贡献，为西昌的经济发展添砖加瓦...........
